About the Open Enrollment Process
Who Must Apply
Students residing within the Redwood City School District are eligible to
apply for admission to magnet schools. All new students in grades kindergarten
through Grade 8 entering the District and all current students requesting
magnet-school placement must apply.
School Boundaries
Orion School has no neighborhood boundaries. Anyone living in the Redwood
City School District boundaries may apply to Orion.
Open Application Period
The open application period is February 4-28, 2002. Your application
must be received by the school or magnet school office by Thursday, Feb. 28,
2002 to be eligible for the random selection process. Applications received
after the deadline will be processed after those applications received during
the open application period.
Though the Redwood School District’s
open enrollment period lasts only through the end of February, Orion will
extend its enrollment period through April, or until we have no more room.
